SHERIFF ASKING FOR HALE COUNTY CITIZENS TO ASSIST PICKENS COUNTY
TORNADO VICTIMS

Sheriff's Office is asking the citizens of Hale County to help the people of Aliceville
after their community was severely damaged from a large tornado earlier this week.
We are asking for personal hygiene items (toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant,
etc), bottled water and canned food goods. The following locations have been
designated local drop off points. GREENSBORO AREA - Hale County E-911 Office,
Greensboro City Hall. MOUNDVILLE AREA - Moundville City Hall. If you attempt to
drop off items after business hours please contact Hale County EMA Director
Russell Weeden at 334-624-9941. The assistance drive will begin Friday Feb 5th -
Monday Feb 8th. If you are an individual or business and wish to make a financial
contribution please leave your check with Sheriff Kenneth Ellis, EMA Director
Russell Weeden, Chief Michael Hamilton, or Chief Ken Robertson. All checks should
be made out to Salem Baptist Church Aliceville. All charitable contributions are
greatly appreciated.
